Randy, just tighten it up until right before it strips out... That'll work!!

Expedition - That's the full-sized one, isn't it?
The young lady didn't show you how much room there is in the back with the rear seats folded forward, did she??
Along with how good the rear shocks work??

Just BEFORE it strips? Oh.... :groan:

Well, yes and no. The re rear seats do fold down and there is a good amount of room in there. But the shocks remain untested in that regard, much to my chagrin. ;)

Gotta go get it now. It's not fancy, wasn't overly expensive, doesn't have a bunch of bells and whistles, but it is FWD, has fewer miles than the old Focus that it's replacing, and has plenty of rust to keep me feeling right at home. :yes2:

Yippee io ki yea! The muzzle break/blast forwarder is here and screwed on, now I just need to take off the h/guard and take some pics. Patience. It'll happen, just don't know when. Soon though.

Well, besides that being a deep hole in the ground it is the beginning of another pointless post about my pointless AR build and the forthcoming AR builds waiting in the wings.

As was communicated earlier I had a snafu with my LGS about what came in box when I bought a upper/lower combo on sale. He thought they sent a BCG but it was the upper in a clever disguise...

Anyway, after the phone conversation with said LGS employee I emailed the seller and told them what I had learned. They, quicker than bunny's on greased glass, sent out another upper and said to keep the BCG (which was non existent). I found this all out about three hours later when I showed up to claim the package at the store. I emailed the seller to say don't bother with the new upper...but remember the quicker than bunnies on greased glass analogy? So, they said to just keep all of it... :groan: Now that the guilt is subsiding...I now find myself with 2 uppers and one lower.
The crux of this dissertation is that I, just last night, ordered another Anderson lower and two Anderson standard LPK's.

Stay tuned...

PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!! :scared: :scared: :scared: :wow: :wow:

I just ordered this->
https://www.natchezss.com/bushnell-ar-optics-multi-reticle-1x28mm-red-green-dot-sight.html till I can afford a good one. And maybe this IS a good one, time will tell. I did NOT order it through Natchez however. It was slightly less on ebay with free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/201629507318

Hello, my name is Randy. I am an AR addict... ;)

Looks like a pretty good optic to me Randy - especially for that price!!
It's all 5 star ratings there on E-bay.
And Bushnell has really improved their stuff - So I've read on the net anyway.
Pretty cool there are four different reticles to choose from too.

You'll have to let us know how you like it!!

The stock is really only designed to hold a 5 or 10 round mag, who needs a 5 round mag?

Image

That's an ERGO grip, I'm not impressed. But it does have waterproof storage for battery's and maybe some survival fishing line. I think I like the basic A2(?) grip that comes in most LPK's better. Now if there was one available that had more spine depth so my hand fit better...this one is for little girly hands... :roflol:

Image

This what they called a 15.5" hand guard :thinkin: :groan: On a 16" barrel I should see the mounting threads right? Overall length of this is 17". To be used on the next one that will be an 18" barrel. Now the reason for the blast forwarder is evident..

Image

Turns out I didn't order the muzzle brake I wanted, this is the standard muzzle break (which I still need to index). The one I wanted was the compensator model (the one with upward facing holes to reduce muzzle rise in addition to the partitions). This one is simply a recoil reducer.

Image

No anti rotation ears. I'm thinking it doesn't need them...it's also a slightly greener hue than the Anderson products. Maybe that will change after I get oil on it? :dunno: Or maybe it will be more pronounced... The color difference shows up better in the next pic->->->

Image

Fancy HUH?

Image

Now I just need to finish it...The dot sight will be here sometime ... maybe this week even if the USPS doesn't lose it or destroy it. It's only coming from about 150 miles away...and it has already had the shipping label created and is expected to be shipped tomorrow. :thumb:

Thanks.

But it's what I've been saying...it's black (sort of) and it's a gun. Nothing mall ninja-ish, nothing of any serious interest.

Some nice gun meat there!!! Use a little pepper, no salt!

I agree... working on guns is as fun as shooting them!
