LaRue has their MBT trigger on sale for $124.99.
In a moment of weakness, I pulled the (cough cough) trigger on one.
I hope I don't regret it, I've never bought a trigger before, so I don't really know one from the other, just going by what I read.
I do know the milspec trigger on my home built rifle leaves a lot to be desired when shooting the longer ranges.
Anybody have any opinions on these or other triggers?

Um, yes, well, you put your finger in front of one in order to pull it back towards you to initiate the firing sequence... :yes2:

I use a fine stone to remove any machining marks left on the engagement point of the trigger and deburr the hammer if needed, then install JP Enterprises 3.5 lb enhanced reliability springs.

I heard LaRue triggers are for the patient man, but if you are in a hurry, you can pay an extra $75 they'll make sure you get it pretty quick.
I opted not to pay extra and resigned myself to wait it out.
Glad I did too, it shipped the day I ordered it and will be here Wednesday :great:

:mdr:

So much inventory left over since the market nearly collapsed due to Trump being elected. So many sales...so little money!

I had not heard of this brand of trigger until you mentioned it.

It sure has a lot of good ratings!!

You'll have to let us know what you think of it once you get it put in.

I really like my Timney - It was easy to put in but it cost a good $50+ more...

Walt - I have a customer who bought one and I stupidly offered to put it in for him.
Franklins "Binary" trigger system - How difficult can it be??
Difficult - and if not done right - freakin' dangerous too... )-:

I am sure I put up a post here about it - I might look for it.

He ordered it and had to wait a couple months to get the damn thing.
And the damn thing cost over $400 - almost as much as his AR cost!!

And like a Fumb Duck - I told him I could put it in his lower for him without looking online to see what it was all about.
That stupidity cost me over a $150... )-:

Anyway - I studied the instructions, and it's really difficult to install it so it works right.
And it sure would take some studying and practice to get used to and understand how it works...
As far as what to do when the trigger is here - or here - or what will happen with the safety on when it's here....
Or what happens with the safety on here when it in the single fire mode - or here when the safety is off in the dual fire mode.
I am surprised someone hasn't been shot with the damn thing and Franklin sued out of business...

I watched several on-line reviews - and even when Franklin installed the trigger - there were problems I didn't like at all!!
It wouldn't fire when it was supposed to - and...
The biggest was the damn thing firing when it wasn't supposed to!!

So I sent the guys lower along with his trigger to Franklin and they installed it for the guy - - For another $150!!
Since I told the guy I would install it for him and decided not to - I paid the $150+ shipping for Franklin to do it...

If you just send in your lower and buy the trigger and have them put it in - It's like $550!!
I say F*ck that.

Anyway - When his lower came back, he told me, "Take it to the range and see what you think!!"
I told him Thank You - But no thanks.

After a couple months, I asked him what he thought of it - because I still kinda thought I might want one.

"I hate it. It's a f*cking POS - a Joke - it's dangerous and It doesn't work right"....
That is the more mild version of what he said after the money he (we??) spent on it..
He wanted to send his lower in and just get his money back.
I asked him to give me my $150 back if they refunded him the whole $550 - and he said he would!!

But they offered to "Inspect it and just it" and I never heard back from him.
And my bet is he didn't follow through and waited too long to act get his money back.

Anyway - They put the damn thing in!! They invented it and installed it and tested it!!
If they can't make it work right - Well - What does that say about it??
And it's not an isolated incident... The same thing happens to a lot of people.

It's a complicated piece of mechanical engineering - And quite a brilliant piece of work too - IMHO!!
It isn't quite there yet as far as a reliable and consistent and trust-worthy trigger.

Look at several on-line independent reviews and judge for yourself.

I wouldn't go near the damn thing Walt - or be around someone that has one in their AR.

That's just my :opinion: Walt

My new trigger arrived today :great:
You wouldn't believe the extras it came with.
If I can remember it all....
A paint mixer
A bottle opener ("Dillo" beverage entry tool)
A book called "40 Miles a Day on Beans and Hay"
4 bumper stickers
2 oval stickers that say MBT
Paper targets
2 catalogs
3 copies of the Constitution
A jar of Dillo Dust meat rub
The trigger, hammer etc.with an extra trigger spring in case you want it a little heavier.
I think that's it
