I have a chance to buy this shotgun for $350, that's as low as he'll go, he needs the money.
I think it's what they call "Coyote Tan" not sure what the camo pattern is called.
It has a ported 28 inch barrel and a fiber optic front sight.
Opinions?

Item # 50124
 Sugg. Retail Price:
$557.00
Your Price:
$405.99

If I had it at my store new in box I would be asking about 470 out the door for it.

He's also throwing in about 120 rounds of ammo.
So it's a good buy?

I had a nice 835 I wish I hadn't sold. Seems like a pretty decent deal.

Thanks for the advice guys.
He's bringing it out tomorrow.
To be honest, if he wasn't an old friend in need of some fast cash to keep his car, I'd probably pass since I have a lot of shotguns already.
I swear, half my guns were bought to bail someone out of a jam :hmmm:

He says he only had it out once, the rest of the time it stayed in the box

You might not make money if you decide to sell it, but you certainly wont loose money.... as far as the ammo, depends on what it is... if its Walmart bulk birdshot its not worth a whole lot... if its number 4 or bigger shot its worth more.

Of course you already know that so............. :)

That's how I look at it.

Helping out a buddy is how I ended up overpaying for my super duper built 10/22.

But that shotgun is a decent enough deal to pull the trigger on.

Well, it's bought, for better or worse.
The Little Woman likes it, so that's good
I'm gonna try to get out and shoot it a bit, then maybe take it pheasant hunting this weekend. :great:

I like the Mossberg line. But I prefer the Remington LEO line better. But the mossberg guns I've had have always been easy to repair and CS has been good to me.

Ive got more experience with the Mossbergs personally, but I would take either one for a HD shotty....

I built my HD shotgun from a Mossberg 500 that was made for Coast to Coast hardware stores. It turned out pretty good for a $75 shotgun.
