I had to work at the farm this saturday, so I took my new Savage Edge .308 with me. I didn't have much time to shoot, but I quickly got it somewhat zero'd in and made one 3 shot group at 100 yds. just a hare over 1 inch. thats just off the hood of my truck using cheap silver bear ammo. as soon as I can actually get to the range, put it on sandbags, and use better ammo I'm sure the groups will drop well below MOA. :D the Rifle Basix trigger I got for it is SWEET! way better than the stock trigger.

Nice group, especially on a first trip! Even better considering a $300 gun with a few extra parts made it! :thumb:

Nice shooting. How do you like the bolt action ? I read somewhere it was kind of gritty but I don't believe everything I read.

UPDATE:
well I FINALLY made it to the range with the .308 Savage Edge. I've been so busy lately almost 3 months had gone by since I bought it!!
Once I got this gun on sandbags and a bench, it really surprised me!
best 3 shot group at 100 yds was a 3/4 inch ragged hole. all other groups were still under 1 inch. my wife even sat down with it and shot a 1" group! the first time she has shot a rifle in years. :thumb:
I moved out to 200 yd, and groups only opened up to about 1 3/4". with the largest group right at 2 in.
all using Hornady Custom Match 160gr SST ammo.
the Rifle Basix trigger also makes a world of difference!! best money I could have spent on it.
