I picked up a Glock 27 for a new carry gun from Jasonsch. Never bought a gun anywhere but a gun shop and Jason was awesome to deal with. Jason will be my new gun guy.

Everything was received in perfect order. After some medical issues I found 100 rounds of .40s&w in the back of the ammo cabinet that was suitable for a Glock (165 gr berrys plated) and went to the range. I shot at 10 yards to check the sights and had to drift the rear over a little.

Now, I've never even shot a Glock because the grip angle seemed odd to me (I'm not a snob but I do like 1911s). On my last range trip a friend had his Glock 22 and I got to shoot it. I kinda liked it. After sighting in the G27 I shot for a group. I was surprised at the accuracy for a compact gun.

It is a 5 round group about 2.5" (the bottom right was from sighting in). Now I'm making a holster, tuckable iwb, never made one of them before so I hope it works out.

I'll have to put pics up later.

glad you found a gun that works well for you! i dont enjoy shooting glocks a single bit but alot of people do and they're a rock solid pistol.

hope it turns out to be a good pistol for you and you get many years of service out of it

Glad you had great experience with new purchase, was sure you would as Jason is top notch!

I have two Glocks... a G22 and a G29, both small frame. I think that most people that don't like them have handle
the larger grip model and I agree with them that it feels "blocky". I also like the 1911 feel but love my two Glocks.

You can also use 9mm's in your 27 just my getting a $99 wolf barrel and a magazine for it! My friend has a G20 and bought a .40
barrel for it... can use the stock G20 mags for it as they are the same diameter round!

On my G22 I also found an adjustable rear sight for about $39 if I recall. They are truly the ultimate for ease of take-down.

Congrats! Info, below...

Sounds like you found a nice gun. I have never shot one either. I don't even know anyone who owns one. Most guys I know carry 1911s. Enjoy your new gun.

That's some fine shooting, tolly!!
I'm really glad you're getting along with your new Glock. :great:
Nothing makes me happier than a happy customer!! :D

Walt will probably have me assassinated now - I might be invading his territory here on HPT!!

The few times I've shot a Glock, I sure liked them!! Both were .45acp.
I've shot my SIL's Glock 21 a couple times and I rented the smaller "Slim Line" Glock 36 and ran a box of ammo through it. It holds 6 rounds.
That Glock 36 would be a fine carry piece and pretty easy to conceal. I'd like to try an XDS someday as well.

It'll be awhile before I can upgrade from my little .25 Jimenez anyway!! So I have lots of time to think about an upgrade... But, it's always fun to think about!!

Glocks make sensible carry pistols. They are dependable and a solid value.

If you enjoy shooting it that's a bonus.
