Well. I didn't shoot my eye out.
I forgot how touchy I have my trigger set up, but I still hit the yellow,, just a lil high.
I am out of summer time patches and only have my winter ones. They are green and are hard to see in the green grass, but my patch lube from last year is still good. The patches are holding up. That is why I am hitting my target.

I sighted in the new scope on my .50 last weekend, would have shot it a lot more but evidently my dog knocked the short-starter that my ramrod screws into out of my bag so I stuck a .410 shell on the end of it but still uncomfortable as heck getting the bullet all the way down and compressing the powder good.

It's fun and doesn't need to cost a fortune.
Cleanup is the only downside, and with the right rifle and the right cleaning supplies, it's not all that bad.

I agree with the cleanup being the down side. It does take me close to an hour to do mine, but that does include polishing the brass and doing the stock. (don't tell anybody, but I kinda enjoy doin it)

That is a TC Hawken, it was a 50 cal (15/16 barrel). I bought a Green Mountain 54 cal for it. They make good barrels. I got rid of the fiberglass loading rod and replaced it with a hollow brass one. I did get a solid brass one, but darn was it heavy.

That thar is mighty respectable shooting. You cut the V darn near dead on center. You could almost win a beef critter Sgt. York

This is what I have, they are actually really expensive (to me at least) but I got mine used from a guy that didn't realize how much they cost.. got it for a couple of hundred bucks in trade. Really cool rifle to shoot but a pita to clean. Still that cloud of smoke when you shoot is exciting LOL

I bought mine from a pawn shop for $150 back in o3, the old man took a likin to me and threw in powder, balls. caps and patches. That was when I first got here and was still livin in my tent. That was also back when T/C had a life time warranty (before S&W bought in with them), so I ended up with all new parts for free, all except the barrel.
