Went to Knob Creek Range today with the brand new Taurus 709 Slim. Ran 50 rds. of Federal Premium Aluminum case 115 gr. FMJ, 50 rds. of Federal Premium 115 gr. FMJ brass and two mags of Hornady steel case 124 gr. JHP down range with a hiccup. I really like this little pocket rocket.
After getting home and cleaning the 709 and the C9, I decided to enhance the stamping on the slide of the new Taurus. Here are the links to the pics, I'm too lazy to resize the pics at this time. http://i.imgur.com/3WFfzXH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/He14m4d.jpg

Looks like a sweet little piece Biff! How'd she do for accuracy and hows the trigger?

Accuracy is fine with me. I was shooting a torso type target at 25 yds. and kept a group of about 5" in center mass.
As for the trigger, it's going to take some getting used to. It feels heavier than the pull on the C9, but the reset is short.
I just wanted to get used to the pistol on this trip and I'll take it to a friend's farm to shoot some 7 yd. targets to simulate real-life home defense. Some of the range officers at KCR allow pistol shooters to set targets at 15 yds. but the RO yesterday was a crusty old retired MSGT and he had his own way of doing things.
