I did manage to get out to the range for a little while this afternoon. I ran about 125 of my 25 ACP reloads
through my little Jimmy JA-25. I stuck a couple of surplus 4 inch round metal targets in the ground and used
them for my targets. I was a little bit too far away - I stepped it off and it was 21 strides - around 63 feet?
Quite a ways for a little 2 inch barreled mouse gun!!

My stuff - a bottle o' bullets and a bunch of loaded mags:

I did manage to hit those 4 inch round targets several times.
And I did have a hell of a lot of fun!!

Here is a little video of my Jimmy NOT jamming:

That's where I got the idea for the title of this post!!
Anyway, she went through 6 rounds pretty fast!!
And the slide didn't fly off and cave my face in or anything!!

My reloads definitely have a bit more "snap" than the factory ammo,
and the little Jimmy seems to like that. She really throws the brass!!

I carefully looked at a bunch of the fired cases I reloaded and there
is no sigh of over pressure. So the little scoop I use for the powder
charge must be about right!!

I should pull the slide off and give it a good cleaning and lube job - a little TLC.
Haven't done that since I've had it.

Looks like a lot of fun to me. Good to see your handloads work well too.

Too bad you don't live closer - I'd be happy to take a few .25s out with you and blow up a bunch of tiny rounds.

I usually just shoot 2 or 3 mag through one then put it back in the safe until I get the itch to shoot a .25 again.

I bought one of the F1 chronographs off Walmart.com and set it up on a camera tripod to shoot over, it's interesting to see how varied the speeds are from when all I had was the beam scale and after getting a digital and using it mainly, with the beam as a check scale to verify. I don't trust myself to know overpressure signs well enough, as a fairly new reloader so tend to err on the side of caution. I just like the increase in accuracy in my .223 reloads for sure though. The .38SPL I still need to work the loads a bit more, I get excellent accuracy out of the 110gr Remington JHP's that I loaded up but not so good with the 158gr cast lead bullets. Still haven't loaded up any 9mm, have plenty of everything to do it but I tend to stick with one caliber until I have it all loaded, and still have 600 .223 to go.

Nice to hear that it's functioning well Jason! And I glad it didn't bang you forehead! ;)

Looks like a fun little piece!
