Took my new steel target out to 100 yards to see how it stands up to an AR15.
I dug out my newest, the one I built and gave it 20 rounds.
The first round hit dead center, then I just sprayed it.
As you can see, the metal isn't hard enough for the 5.56/.223
Luckily, this stuff is thick, so the other side is ok.
I'll take it out to 200 yards and see how it fares.

Do you know what kind of steel it's made of? If so, I could advise on specific heat treat for the application...

Even though it might be soft metal - I bet it'll take a lot of shots!!

Not sure what kind of steel it is, but it's supposed to be pretty hard.
I'll push the target out to 300 and see if it works there.
It'll definitely take the shots, it's pretty thick
