2006 Taurus PT92 AFS SS 9mm with rail. The first pistol I ever bought was a Taurus 24/7 Pro DS Compact in .40 S&W but I sold it to fund other projects.

That's a nice looking PT92
In my opinion, they are one of the best guns ever built

Since some of you are Taurus experts. Let me ask you a question about the PT111 Millennium Pro. It's my dad's favorite, most comfortable pistol he has, but at the range today as usual it drops the firing pin but doesn't fire the round. It doesn't do this all the time, but about 10 percent of the time. Being DA, we just keep pulling the trigger and it's a no go, even though there is a prominent strike on the primer. Most of the rounds fire just fine. I took his unfired rounds and ran them just fine in my 995ts. What gives? If the firing pin was broken, it shouldn't fire any of them, right?
He's at his whits end.
Please help or he's going to have it destroyed.

We have one. I'll post a pic of it, when time permits. Maybe today, as my dad is bringing my daughter home. I'll text him now.

I stumbled upon this one at a pawn shop, it was in good condition and the price was right at $350 out-the-door. I buffed it up a little and put a fresh pair of Hogues and Beretta Stainless grip screws on it. Just bought a brand new Taurus magazine also so now she has two reliable 17+1 magazines.

That's nice! Guess after I bought the PHP I'm biased though. I'm warming up to the exposed barrel look. :thumb: And this is one I certainly would want to own !

This is a Taurus Millennium Pro. I got both sides. I know I'm not the best photographer in the world.
I was in the middle of giving my dog a bath and my dad was in a hurry. Never the less, I promised pics, so here they are.

MechWolf: Taurus has some great customer service also just like Hi Point. We send ours on "Vacation to Miami" they should be able to fix that no problem and send it back to you free of charge. The actually do factory tours..unlike Hi Point and it is an unbelievable facility.

Notice the blue nitrile gloves? So no finger prints can be traced back to the factory. What'd you think they were for? :mdr:  Jokin!

Man Mech you guys do like using sorta expensive ammo don't you?
My story is that the cheaper the better for my 9mm and 9x18. Sure it's a little dirtier but I clean after every outing. And for the most part I haven't had to many issues either. :dunno:

Word up Randy. My dad only runs the best ammo thru his guns. Shit, he can afford it, so why not?
Point is, whenever his rounds get refused (jacked out of the chamber,) I'm there to pick them up and run them thru my 9mm, either 995ts or C-9.
I think it should be sent back to the factory and see what the deal is. He's hard headed. Not at all like me. :hmmm:
