Finished for now the mod's I wanted to do on the AK. Got rid of the stupid nut on end of barrel and added a Tapco muzz;e brake, got ahold of B-C Blue and Rust remover and some Nevr-Dull and did some work on the bolt. Didn't take much work and I think she looks pretty good. We went to Cabela's Friday night to get the bluing remover and damn if salesman didn't leave customer and walked over and grabbed a new ak47 and said "Got them on sale for you!" Evil eye from beautiful wife and said not tonight, got one already(that was hard). But Saturday, run up to a Pawn shop in Richfield, and he showed me a nice looking P95 Ruger they just got in and shot me a price of $225! Of course, I have to wait till January for the damn thing but am first on list to buy it. AND, beautiful wife says..."Hmmmm just in time for your birthday present!" God I love her!

butt ugly nut removed, easy with dremel. The few 'oops' were taken care of with a fine sander and blue stick

New business end. Looks a hell of a lot better

As for the new sights for the P111, well the dorks sent the wrong ones so now send them back, get credit, order from new company and maybe by June 2012 will have them installed!

Nice
Both mine came with the slanted brake and not welded
I haven't done much but replace the firing pin on one
I'm gonna replace the plastic stock on the G1975, but that's about all the mods I have in mind at the moment

How bout a pic of the overall rifle? What kind of ak? What kind of mags do you run?

Here's mine it's a m10 built by Colorado guns. It had this god awful looking tapco razor muzzle break. It sounded like a tuning fork everytime you shot it. So I replaced it with a red jacket birdcage. I also polished my bolt. That's Ares armor husky sling. I have a tech site front post it's skinnier then the average ak ones. I plan on getting a magpul afg, and primary arms micro red dot.

I also run east European surplus mags.
