Top to bottom:

1. Majestic Arms AR-7 (Henry receiver). I like weird guns and I can not lie.
2. Super Budget KISS AR build. PSA lower, Del-ton middy upper. $540ish invested.
3. Yugo M57 with some bling.
4. Marlin 60 with ATI stock. Cheap at a gunshow, liked the feeling of the ATI stock initially but not so much anymore. Considering either selling it or swapping to a Boyd's RVT stock.
5. Polish M44. Need to buy a cleaning rod, otherwise complete and numbers matching.

I have a 10/22 in that same style stock..and feel the same way. As the Archangel stocks have been coming down in price, I am thinking that might be where I go. But the Boyds was a frontrunner for a long time. :thumb:

Speaking of Archangels, I picked up a 10/22 with one of those too a while back.

I like the Archangel a lot more than the ATI "Dragunov" style stock. I did try fitting an Archangel Marauder magazine and it locks up fine, but you can see it doesn't seat up into the magwell very far. Looks a little silly. Unfortunately the Marauder mags, even the later generation, seem to be about 50% on reliability. Maybe Promag should stick to stocks.

The Archangel just needs a coat of paint and it looks much nicer. It's always going to be a dress up kit for a 22, but it at least feels like a nice dress up kit, unlike others (I'm looking at you, Mossberg).

The two things I didn't like about the kit were the muzzle shroud thingy and the butt stock. The muzzle shroud is just friction fit and not something I'd ever want to mount a sight on, and the butt stock doesn't pull off like my other AR-style stocks. The shroud is optional and the butt stock can easily be swapped for a different style, so not a big deal.

Majestic Arms is still around, but are moving away from the AR-7 to, well, what looks like a multi-caliber AR-7 that they added some proprietary barrels to. Not sure if it's just going to be a pipe dream or if it's going to be released, nor do I have any idea what they did to make the action "completely new, state of the art", but it does look interesting.

If my AR-7 is anything to go by, they make quality products.
