Top one 1911. Still functional? You planning on "paying it forward" if it is? :-)

Top one 1911 -- I should have another somewhere but haven't found it yet. I'm keeping them and hoping to find a 1911 (not A1!) that is not tampered with and I can afford.

I don't shoot the 1911 two tone mags because I haven plenty of great 1911 mags.

I've never seen a two-tone Tokarev magazine. Have you see one or are you giving it your best guess?

I'm going to bump this. It's really pretty obvious what they are if you take a look.

I figured one of you guys would identify them right away.

Somebody here has to know.

(hint: I've posted pictures of both pistols the smaller two magazines are made for )

Really? I thought the German's came out with the first auto loading pistol. Luger I thought. I didn't know that Colt came out with one before them. HOWEVER! I am wrong most of the time. I saw my first auto loader in 1908. Well not personally, but in a museum. It was a Luger, I think.
Never mind. I'm probably wrong.

Dammit. That's why I always put that disclaimer in my posts. I really did think the Germans came up with the first design. Sorry.

First successfully marketed self-loading pistol was the Borchardt C-93. It was first sold in 1894. It was loosely based on Maxim's machine gun design. Luger improved the design.
