I know compared to a lot of you guys, I hardly have any ARs, but here's what we have right now.
Top is The Little Woman's Bushmaster Carbon-15
Below that is my new build, mostly PSA but with an Aero Precision Lower and Magpul furniture.
Bottom is my Windham Weaponry

 :groan: And here I thought you were a noob like me...my feelings are hurt! I need a safe space and a cuddwy puppy.
And NOW for the rest of the story...

In reality no feelings where hurt in the telling of this narrative. The actors involved are actual men that can handle the truth. Had those involved been liberals or dimocrits the outcome could have been dire. Actual 'fantasy world feelings' could have been hurt ... allegedly hurt at any rate. Fantasy feelings are whimsical, wispy, limp-wristed shells that are very hard to define in real life.

 :rules:

Don't forget Randy, only 2 of those are mine, and I had to go a few years where she had an AR and I didn't.
Talk about emasculating :(
Up until last night, I was a 1 AR guy...it was embarrassing.
Even having 3 or 4 AK type weapons didn't help.
I'm already getting the urge to build another one,so I may need some donations or low interest loans.

I only have one AR right now. I still haven't touched the 80% lower, sitting here in the jig on the counter.

I hear that about needing to prove my manhood by building another AR, I gave this one to my wife. Now she wants a vertical foregrip with a bipod! :groan: I think I have created a monster...

Speaking of 80% lowers...
A Harbor freight store opened within 30 miles of me recently :thumb: I had the chance to stop and peruse their wares the other day. One thing in particular I looked at was the floor sized drill press. Let me say I was seriously underwhelmed by it's quality for the price they were asking. I could grab and rock the quill about 1/8"-3/16" anywhere in it's travel :? Maybe because it was a display model? That was disappointing... But it is Harbor Freight, I know the tools they sell are basic junk but many of them do have real potential from what I've read about them. With work and ingenuity they can be reworked into pretty good machines. So...as the tip money rolls in I'll be spending it.. :yes2:

My thinking exactly. Hoard! Hoard! Hoard! I didn't the last time because I couldn't afford it.

Being on a fixed income, I have to buy ammo in small lots here and there as I can. What I've done is wait for free shipping at Sportsmans Guide, then buy sometimes just one or two boxes of ammo lol. I'm sure the guys there have my name on a list as a cheap a$$.

Also, Academy's website...their free shipping on orders over $25 has saved me a ton (while spending a bunch) but coming up with $25 isn't all that hard for me. I've been ordering in their Monarch brand of 7.62x39 for the AK as it's actually the most accurate in it and it's been on sale for under $5 a box of 20. I also have Monarch in .308 and 7.62x54r, both shoot just fine. I can get the PPU 68gr BTHP match stuff from Sportsmans Guide for the .308 at a great price and the 783 likes it just fine. But I'm gradually going over to reloading for everything but the AK, as it just throws the cases too darn far and I'd lose way too much brass!

I've been getting emails about the Grand Opening of a new Harbor Freight store up the road in Farmington which is an hour from me. Lots closer than the one that I used to use, it's about two hours to that one. Thought well that's pretty cool.

Wife and I were in Poplar Bluff today, which is 30 miles and looked over and there in the same strip mall as Big Lot's I see a brand new Harbor Freight store! Never heard a peep about it opening!

My shop looks like a display for Harbor Freight. On your mills and drills, about all you'll run into is that you can get much better runout if you put some quality bearings in them. I did the belt conversion on my mini-mill to get rid of the plastic gears that I kept breaking, worlds of difference.

Re: The HF mill... I checked and it has steel gears. The gunsmith I bought it from must have done it. Though the quieter belt would have been nice.
