I used a 5/16 socket head cap screw to make a small piece that I soldered on to the safety lever for easier use. It already had a straight knurl on it and it made a nice rounded profile. It works great but I wish I had made it a little thinner, it's just a tad too thick.

Sorry to see you go Dean. Never enough time and it makes
us all realize just what being mortal is. You have been a true friend to me

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?

Thanks!
The only thing I will do differently next time is make it a little thinner. I had a problem hitting it with my thumb under recoil when I first installed it causing the safety to partially engage and making the trigger hard to pull. I have since learned to put my thumb on top of the safety to keep it down and have had no more issues with it.

Here is my safety mod. It is a small rubber cap from the top of an antennae. This keeps the safety from popping up and catching the front slide stop notch, a problem I described in the thread "new member's gun."
