I mentioned in another thread that I tried something similar so I feel for the guy. I bought an AutoCAD program (today there are sketch up programs for free), bought a square column mill and added a DRO so I could make a clamp on base and indicator for converting cheap digital calipers into a height gauge. The amount of hours I spent attempting to make one part was astronomical. Standing in a room, by myself with a machine...after working all day was nuts. And for what? I should be spending time with my grandkids or watching a football game. Thank God I didn't have a website so I could sit in a room by myself and update the world about my slow progress!
I sent him a text asking him (if he had time) to mill replacement extractors for the Sccy instead of the stamped steel one that comes on the gun. If I have the equipment, why not make it myself? Because after working all day I'd rather sit on the couch and watch BarnOwl videos. If he makes the sights ...I want at least two. If he's at home watching "Last Man Standing", I don't want him tarred and feathered. I get it.

I think you pretty well nailed it there George... (-:
