I 100% agree with you on that George!!

Folks go to the bar and spend $100 pretty easy nowadays...

I'd rather buy some more reloading components!! (-:

And I always feel better after a trip to the shooting range - and I should probably go more often!!
It's a great stress reliever.

And it's interesting to me to see how many rounds one of these "cheap guns" can go through!!

If I had a Sig - I'd feel guilty every time I shot it!!
I'd feel bad wearing out an expensive gun...
on the other hand - those things might go 50,000 rounds or something like that!!
I guess I don't know how long a person should expect a Sig or a Glock to last...

That sounds like something our resident "gun expert" might know.

Ex, Do you know how many rounds a person could expect to shoot through a Sig or a Glock before it would need work done on it??

Numerous Glocks on record having 300,000 through them and I think Glock has one that they keep, that
has 500,000.

And don't say expert. Ex is a has been (we all knew that) and spurt is a drip under pressure, of
which I'm neither! lol

Holy crap...300,000. At 50/box x $10 = $60,000. I'd never make it to 300,000 because my wife would use one of the rounds on me for spending $60,000 on ammo. (I hope my math is right. Never was good at cipherin' my "guzzintas").

Probably have had the springs changed a time or two.... people buy glocks for the same reason they buy hi points.. because they work, not because they are pretty ;)

On my Gen2 G22 .40 that I bought 8 yrs ago, used, (PD tradein) I have had to replace only the trigger spring. I did by choice replace the recoil spring with a titanium rod (instead of plastic) and put a 3# heavier spring on it
to prevent brass being launched into orbit from heavy loads. I also have always had a frame buffer in it.

Trigger return spring is the most frequent "needed" part and it ran me a WHOPPING $2.18 and took a whole 3 mins to install.

I agree with that - Glocks are every-bit as "ugly" as a Hi-Point...

I'm still a little stunned that many rounds can be fired through one of those baby's...

Almost makes me wanna see for myself!!
And It almost justifies paying that much for a gun too... :)

I've always had somewhat of a huge Bone-Air for a full sized Sig 227...

I like the DA/SA DeCocker - seems MUCH safer than the Glock to me.

You fellers got any gripes about the Sigs??
They have a pretty fanatical following - almost as bad a the Glock owners...

All of the sigs I have seen are nice well made pistols. Just a little pricey for my taste... Glocks are a good gun, just gotta keep your finger off of the boom switch until needed.

A guy I go shooting with has two sigs. I'm not big on the trigger of either. Much
prefer Glocks trigger. Finger off the boom switch? Same thing we should PRACTICE
on ALL guns.

My son has a Sig I really like, can't remember the model but it's FDE and 9mm..hammer fired
A buddy has one that's very similar
Sweet shooters
I got rid of my Sig P938, it was just too small, and the safety levers dug in every time I fired it
