Oops, I didn't mean to imply that.

I wonder how this one turned out... If he ever got it back and if they ever found out why it was taking so long.
Only because it's so unlike Mom to be that out of touch...

I did get it back a few days ago. Aside from it taking longer than expected it shoots well.
The paperwork says a new barrel..new springs and firing pin.
Thanks for the note.

Glad you got it back, and working better than when it went in!

Have you had it to the range yet?

New barrel, new springs and new firing pin? Heck, it's practically a new gun! I'm glad he got it back. I guess when your the guy waiting it feels like an eternity. In reality, it wasn't all that long. These guns are worth the wait and I stand by by suggestion that he buy a second one. I bought my second C9 at the height of the ammo shortage for $189. With the way prices were going up ,it seemed like money in the bank. Every time I get a little extra cash I wait for a Hi Point deal to come along. If Killary gets elected prices will probably double. Each of my boys have one, along with my daughters in law and my wife. For the price of one Kimber I've got a small militia. Lol. Notagame should be good for another 3000 rounds anyway. I hope he keeps us informed on how the gun is running. Don't tell him how long we've been waiting for sights.

I like the idea of a second Hi-point. The things are nearly indestructible anyway. I rarely shoot mine but I do use it to work on and learn. I also use it as a test mule for my ammo (not like I am doing anything wild however). But I feel that as I lower the charge and it still works the slide, the ammo will still work in my other guns too. I don't shoot for accuracy. I'm certain the gun is way more accurate than I could ever be anymore. :groan:

Hello Gentlemen
The gun shoots very well and in the scheme of things you are right about the wait.
Put a new rear site on her and have it sighted now. I do most of my shooting at 12 to 15 yards and like the results.
Good idea on the extra Hi Point and I will take the advice.
I have 100 plus rounds on her since the rebuild and she fires nice. 150 or 500 dollars...it is a nice comfortable gun .... to me anyway.
Thanks for the interest.
Doran J.

Doran,
What rear sight did you put on it?
