Have a dumb question: Are there any set screws that need to be loosened to adjust the sights on a C9? 'Preciate it. :stupid:

The bar that holds the rear sight is plastic. It is adjusted by turning the Allen head in or out. The drift is a small flathead on the side of the sight. If you have the gun in your hand, observing the Allen head and flat head screw will be self evident. The owners manual gives an excellent explanation. The replacement sights ( not available) require loosening one screw and tightening another, but not the OEM sights. If I'm wrong, someone will be along to correct me.

If you are adjusting the elevation I seem to remember that the scew is a hex head that fits in the slot of the sight to keep it from turning and changing the setting from recoil. if you just try to turn the screw you will meet some resistance until you round out the slot.

If that is what you are up against, simply push down on the rear of the sight, which will lower the plastic away from the head of the adjusting screw. turn the screw in the direction needed, release the sight and slightly turn the screw until the sight pops and locks back in place. Repeat as needed.

Hope this makes sense.
