Wal-Mart has best price around for 9mm ammo for C9 pistol.Federal 9mm aluminum for 8.97 for those who don't reload and9.97 for brass Federal.I don't reload and both Federal shots good in my C9. Smooth feeding stuff. They had some Tula for 7.97 i believe, but my C9 doesn't like that stuff at all.Maybe in other C9 pistols it works ok.

My C9 likes the Winchester Steel Forge ammo that I've only found at WalMart.
Just lube the heck out of it first though.

For the average HiPoint owner a reloading set up, even a cheap one, would cost more than the pistol.

Others of us bought our HiPoint as the cheapest 9mm available in order to shoot up reloads we already had.

I had been out of the 9mm business for 30 years and came into possession of several thousand empty cases. I already had the loading dies, bullet molds, primers and powder on hand.

I bought the HiPoint as a stop gap until a good deal on a better pistol came along. I finally caught a bargain on a CZ75 and retired the HP.

Except for the magazines which have not retired. The mags fit my Taurus 709 so I use them all the time in my EDC carry gun.

Point being that reloading always pays off. I bought mine when 9mm was cheap and that was all I shot. Added a .40 pistol and only had to buy dies and projectiles. Added 10mm and only had to had large primers. Then .38spl/.357mag, then .45. Wether you choose budget or top line reloading equipment, you will be ahead dollars in no time if you shoot much. That sais it's posible you may not "save" money as you may shoot more, eating up your savings.

But then, "shooting more"... nothing wrong with that either.

I started off reloading 38/357 back when I was in high school some 40yrs or so ago. Would load up 50-100 rds on a Lyman single stage press and then go shoot them all in the same afternoon. Then I started loading 45acp on the same press and then 9mm with borrowed dies on the same press. When I started shooting Bianchi Cup competition matches with my 45, I finally splurged and bought a Dillion Square Deal B with the 45 dies since I was firing more rds in a short period of time and wanted to cut down on the time invested on the reloading end of it. Saved a good bit of money "rolling my own" at the same time too!
