I am keeping the dresser and using it with repairs. It is a good reminder. Thanks all for your comments. Stay safe.

Walt, I was trying not to bring that up... I mean, if you want to come out of the closet here, that's fine!! It's your personal choice..

Hmm, What?? - - - Oh, Ok sorry - It's not THAT kind of a closet thing!!! I see...

Nevermind...

Walt, how much longer are you going to let us abuse you like this!!
We are a bunch of ungrateful people, aren't we... :(
I like to do things different, I went INTO the closet LOL

Hell Jason I have to put up with you guys, you all are about the only friends I have! ;)

Same thing for me Walt!! Kind of sad in a way... :( But it's nice to hang out with some like minded people!! :D Even though I haven't actually met anyone from HPT - I am glad to say, most everyone here I consider a friend!! Group Hug!!! (Not so tight, Randy!!)
I think my family would learn a lot about me, just from reading my posts here on HPT...

I have engaged in exactly ONE group hug (voluntarily) and that was one too many! My personal space is inviolate. It's also at least two feet in radius starting at my outstretched arm. Good thing I don't carry a pistol.... :rules:

you have to be careful about who you hug Jason. There may be one of "those" people in the group and you may bet a "reaction" that you really don't want.

As the president of the local chapter of "Ugly Americans", I don't get much of a reaction from anyone... :(

Wow, glad you or no one else got hurt.

Sounds like it's been a bad week for XD owners, cause the other day a friend of my son shot himself in the hand with his 45 acp XD. He showed me a picture, it went through the center of his palm, and you could literally see day light, clean hole. The story was, he was taking it out of the holster to lay it on his DRESSER, yes, to take a shower and managed to shoot a hole through his hand.

The rest of the story is, that when he went to the ER, they refused to treat him because he didn't have insurance. And apparently, now because he put him self on the radar, he said he is looking at getting fined for not having insurance, double whammy.

I dropped my old super black hawk while horse back riding back in the 70's. It landed on the hammer and discharged. Could have killed me or the horse, it's a wonder it didn't considering it landed on the hammer, which meant the barrel had to be pointing up, and I felt the muzzle blast, so I know it was a close one. Those old one's were prone to discharging when dropped, and having known this, I should have been carrying it on an empty cylinder. I may be wrong, but I think Ruger changed the name to the "New" model SBH when they added the transfer bar, or hammer block. Close call though.

Definitely close call. "New" model is the correct term. They did it (same thing) with the Single Six models too!

An ER can not refuse emergency treatment for anyone, insured or not. That is Federal law.

http://people.opposingviews.com/can-hos ... -6474.html

As for being fined b putting himself on the radar, he was going to be fined anyway lf the filed taxes in the U.S.

As of last year anyone without approved insurance was and will be fined. I wound up paying them a bit over $100.

This year I am insured.

Dono if i related this one or not but here goes...disclaimer, this did NOT happen to me but to a couple of friends when I was still a teen.

They went out squirrel hunting with .22's. One had long bushy hair he normally kept in a tail. They were walking apart I guess by few hundred feet through the trees and underbrush on a hillside. The one without the tail looked down and saw a tail next to a tree about level with his eyesight I guess. And he said he saw a fat redtail next to it so he shoots. Turned out to be his friend leaning against the tree. Blew the guys eye out and part of the bridge of his nose. The concussion caused the retina to detach from his other eye. Bad mojo. 20 something blinded and disfigured for life.
