Dont think id buy any high capacity mags for my 995....promags have too many problems. I have 4 mags for my 995 which is more than enough for range time. The gun is light and has a perfect LOP for me at least. Ever try and shoot a rifle with a 30rnd mag from the bench it sucks.....I usually take reduced capacity mags when I shoot my AK.

It would probably depend on the profile of the mag. I've never bought one of the ProMags -- first, ProMags generally suck and don't work. Second, they are long single-stack mags and stick out in the way.

If HP produced a dependable double stack model I might go for one, but I wouldn't count on it. My 20" lever action .357 and .44 only hold 10 in the mag tube and I would be happier with less capacity and a 16" barrel.

so you are telling me that if hp came out with a kit to give you 20rnd mags you would not get it? ill bet you have got or at least looked into the promags.. Im just saying that this type of rifle could use a little bit of flexability in its mags. the rifle is great i love the style, look, feel, etc. just top it off with the mag and take over market.

I've thought about doing that for my 4595 -- just for S&G. But they're not cheap and they have a reputation for crappy functioning.

I've no experience with the lower picture but is obviously of better quality than the plastic ones.

The crappy plastic ones in the upper picture appear to have disappeared from gun shows. I haven't seen one in a year or two.

I hope I got one of the good ones. I remember you mentioning the reputation of Pro-Mags for the 995ts, but I've heard they've gotten better, but you know how that goes. I just had to give one a try, I hope, with a little tweaking, it will feed fine. Let us pray. Lol.
I'll be sure to post when I get to shoot it.

This looks seriously unbalanced. The recoil would swing that heavy can forward and it would takes a couple seconds to line up again. Wrong or right?
