Ok So now I'm all straightened out. And yeah, other than being a perfectly normal human being I do have my little quirks and pictures of me are one of them. So nuff said on that subject.

You don't have to be on the video (persay) Randy. Just set it up to get the shot and the target in the vid. ;)
Also, if you have a digital camera, most of them come with a video mode that you can use. That's what I use when I take vids.

As far as using a penny goes, a penny sized circle is just fine.

What about black powder? Pistol, rifle, or musket. Mine is a .50 cal, but I don't think it will make the 2 mile range.

Only problem would be between smooth bore pistols and rifled revolvers. I have a smooth bore flint with a four inch barrel that wouldn't hit the side of a horse at 16". LOL. But then I wouldn't even think to use it in a sharpshooting contest because I already know that about it. My vote is to just disregard any smooth bore rifle or pistol from the contest. They just aren't accurate enough at any range over 25ft. I know there are some exceptions but not many. There are so many variables in BP that they really need a completely new category. Such a round ball, conicals, sabot modern bullets, inlines, pyrodex vs black powder, flint vs cap vs primer. Way to much to be considered I think. JMO But if someone can hit a penny with a .50 round ball at 100yds then I suppose they deserve the title LOL.

I really wish you luck long_shot. I find it very hard to even see a penny at 100 yards with a 4x scope.
I have a 4x on my .22 and I can hit those orange skeet, stationary of course, at a 100 yards, but they're a lot bigger however.

Well I am half way there! Zeroed it in at 50 yards like the directions say, so we have some serious tweaking to do before then.

First zero at 50 yards

Today at 50-100 yards, about 50 rounds total.

Here you go you sharpshooters.

Your chance to be in an exclusive ranking that only the "elite" can be included in.

I'll add a new "sniper" rank if you can do this and prove it.

All shots must be verifiable for range, target, and shooter, via a video clip, and must be posted IN THIS TREAD publicly for review by others as to integrity before being considered for acceptance.

All shots will be the same target size. A US penny, or equivalent traced outline of a penny.
Scopes, Lasers, RD's, Bipods, etc., are all allowed.
Any means you have available for sniping is allowed as long as the distance and caliber requirements are met and verifiable.

Weapon choices are as such.
1. Any hand gun shorter than 4" barrel length --- 15yds.
2. Rimfire Handgun 4"+ --- 50 yds.
3. Rimfire Rifle --- 100 yds.
4. Centerfire Pistol 4"+ --- 50 yds.
5. Centerfire Revolver 4"+ --- 100 yds.
6. Centerfire Rifle --- 200 yds.
7. Pistol caliber rifle/carbine --- 100 yds.
8. Shotgun Slug --- 125 yds.
9. Shotgun Birdshot --- 75 yds. with one pellet in the target.
10. 50 cal + --- 2 miles :D
11. Tanks, mortars, missiles, rockets, bazookas, or whatever some of you may have "in storage" must have the approval of the next state.

Flamethrowers are in a separate class, as yet to be defined.

Rules are 1 round through a penny sized target at the specified range for the weapon of choice.
The weapon and a short description of it must also be clearly displayed before the shot.

Any takers on this?

~~~ My shotgun slugs are 68 cal. 492 gr they won't fit thru a penny sized hole at any range, now what ? ~~RR~~
