Uberti's are nice! But I'm a cheap SOB, so I went with a Rossi. I got the octagon barrel with case hardened finish for about 5 or 600. Then I bought the "Steves Guns" CD to put an action job on it. It's a sweet liitle carbine.

I'm pretty cheap too. I have a Sears 54, a copy of w Winchester 94. Brand doesn't really matter as much as cost most of the time. The Uberti I mentioned is about 20 years old and never fired. He also has a Winchester 94 in .41 Magnum I'd like to have.

Well that's different...... I'm always up for a deal from a private party! Those are usually to far and few to find for me though. The key is finding someone who needs the cash fast.

Ape I went with the Rossi 454 Casull octagon barrel 20 inch lever action. you can shoot 45lc in it if you want to plink, and the 454 if you want to take out something bigger .

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

That would've been the optimal buy for me! But those aren't all that common to find. And when I've seen them, they're more than I wanted to spend.

It was more than I wanted to spend too, but I wanted it so I kicked out the bucks.

I hear ya. I've spent more than I'd normally spend a few times too. Sometimes ya just have to bite the bullet and pull the trigger. ;-)

So now I'm dealing on a Uberti .357 that needs some work
It's been used and has some finish issues, but I don't care so much about that.
I'm thinking some new springs will help it a lot, I had to run a cylinder around 3 times before it fired all the rounds.
Anyway, I'm not sure what model it is, it's about the size of the new Vaquero, smaller than the old one.
It's got the smooth lines like the Vaquero, faux ivory grips, flame hardened finish.
I'm thinking I can get it for a couple bills and it'd make a fun project.

That does sound like a good project. I haven't found a good project in a long time.

Some of the hits weren't that good and some were.
Some looked like double hits, a good one and a light one
I don't know if the hammer was bouncing or what.
I know it's capable of firing and hits where it's pointed....just have to work on the consistency.
If I buy it
