As most of you know, I paid a couple bills for a wore out single action Uberti revolver.
I'm learning a lot about these things, and I've had this one apart probably 5 times in the last 3 days.
It was skipping past locking up when I cocked it, and the cylinder stop/bolt was sticking, and when I pushed it down, it kinda oozed back up and was real spongy.
I took it apart and cleaned it, and it was better but still not good.
I did some reading and watched some videos, and tore it apart again.
I think the legs on the bolt got spread a bit, and the fit is very snug.
I cranked on it with a pair of pliers and think I got it narrowed up a couple thousandths, and it seems to fit a bit more free.
Anyway, I had a box of .38 specials with 19 rounds in it, and I fired all 19 without a hitch.
Ugly grips and all

Nice! And she doesn't look ugly to me! But you're right, those grips don't help her none. ;-)

Glad you got it verking Husk!!! I really like revolvers, even though I'm down to just two and the rest of the herd are semis.

Are you good with making grips for that? If so, I might have a piece of wood I'd send you photos of if'n your're inclined to make some nice ones...
Let me know!

Sorry to see you go Dean. Never enough time and it makes

I don't know how good I'd be at making grips, but been thinking of trying.
I'd hate to waste a piece of good wood

Good to hear you got it running... Are those grips wood or plastic? If they are wood, a stain job and some polyurethane would go a long way towards making them look better.... Hell if they are plastic you could paint them and poly them and make them look better.
