Picked this up on sale at Classic Arms for $225 shipped. Bear Creek Arsenal complete upper in 7.62x39. Square forge upper receiver, standard A2 FSB and flash hider. Sorry for the links, but even sending them through at the smallest setting on my phone still puts them just a few pixels outside the allowances... :groan:

Only complaint was that the bore was FILTHY NASTY RUSTY. Build was dated 9/13/17, I think they test fired their three rounds and then tossed it into the rack as it was.

Pinned it onto a lower from one of my other AR's and mounted the scope.

Since archery deer season is running and firearm not far away, I don't shoot at my little backyard range but make the drive over to the Conservation Area range outside Piedmont. Out in the boonies nice and quiet, usually the only one there.

Ran 50 rounds through it of Monarch lacquer-coated FMJ and some Golden Bear soft point, tested all three ACS mags, everything ran perfectly. This is my best three-round group, the Monarch tends to give me a flyer or two out of five rounds, I have some brass cased American Eagle that I want to try out at 100 yards, this one was at 50 yards to get the scope sighted in good.

Ordered a set of the JP Enterprises enhanced reliability springs for the FCG, I have them in a couple other AR's and really like them. As long as they set off the primers on the steel case it'll be good to go.

Got in on a giveaway from Bear Creek on their Facebook page. They're giving away 5000 barrels to veterans, all you have to do is create an account on their website and then email them a copy of something that proves military service, such as a DD214, NGB22 or a scan of a VA or military ID to their customer service. Sensitive info like SS# should be blocked out. They sent me a promo code to use so I ordered one of the two barrels that they are offering in the giveaway, a 16" carbine gas stainless steel heavy barrel in 1:9 twist and 223 Wylde chamber, I've wanted to check out both but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a barrel that I ended up not liking, lol. They still charged me $10 shipping but I'll take a $100 for that price any day.

Can't beat a deal like that.
I almost ordered a barreled upper in .223 Wylde but just can't justify it at the moment.

I'm at the point where I'm having trouble remembering which AR is which...I'm pretty sure that at some point I swapped lowers on my best 5.56 shooter with my backup 5.56. I know my best one has the biggest scope on it, but looking at them this evening I noticed that the backup one has the Del-ton lower on it that has the ambi safety selector and the ATI scorpion pistol grip, and I was pretty sure that I originally put them on my favorite one, which now has an Anderson lower on it with the Leapers "Combat Sniper" pistol grip and standard safety selector. Sometimes having Lego rifles can be a bit confusing. I put some new stocks on the x39 Ar and my favorite shooter, hopefully that helps me keep them straight...at least the upcoming build will be a stainless barrel.
